Description
This is a great combo tour. See Pearl Harbor, Hawaii’s number one
attraction, and Oahu’s legendary North Shore all in one day! From
Waikiki, you’ll first head over to historic Pearl Harbor, the site where
Japanese fighter planes attacked the U.S. Pacific Fleet on a fateful
Sunday morning in December 1941. Many people died and ships sank – one
of which was the battleship USS Arizona, which you’ll get to see up
close.
Upon arrival at Pearl Harbor, you’ll first watch a dramatic film
containing footage of the actual attack. After that, board a Navy
shuttle boat which will take you out to the sunken wreckage. From the
platform that was built right on top of the sunken ship, you’ll be able
to see it resting below the water’s surface. Also visit the Shrine Room,
which bears the names of the 1,177 crew members who perished aboard.
Later, visit the WWII Museum exhibits and gift shop, where you can find
many interesting books, souvenirs and memorabilia. You’ll also get to
see the battleship row, a WWII submarine and the headquarters of the
U.S. Pacific Fleet.
After your Pearl Harbor tour, your island excursion begins. It’ll take
you to picture-perfect postcard beaches, scenic lookout points and
tropical pineapple and banana plantations – in other words, to the
Hawaii of your dreams.
Savor fresh pineapple chunks at the Dole Plantation, marvel at giant
green sea turtles, watch daring surfers ride the monster breakers on the
world-famous surfing beaches on the North Shore and see the filming
locations of popular Hollywood movies, such as Jurassic Park, Pearl
Harbor, Fantasy Island and Lost. Learn about the legends of Chinaman’s
Hat Island and see ancient Hawaiian fishponds.
All this and so much more awaits you on this great island adventure
tour. All along the way, you’ll travel in comfort in our spacious
mini-coach, featuring reclining seats and large windows for panoramic
views. Reserve your seats now.
